The Difference in Heart Monitoring Devices…in Layman’s Terms

Cardiac monitoring technology has come a long way over the past few decades. Patients used to stay in the hospital overnight, hooked up to a bulky machine to record the heart’s activities. Now, heart monitors come in pocket sizes and let patients go about their daily activities.

Each ambulatory cardiac monitoring device has features that make them better suited to handle different monitoring needs. The patient’s needs will ultimately determine which device will be used to get an accurate diagnosis. ReactDx provides a variety of unique and powerful cardiac monitoring devices that defines ReactDx as a leader in the industry:

  • Decipher Holter Monitor: This is a commonly used cardiac monitoring device that is used to record heart activity for a few days at a time. The Decipher Holter monitor can record up to 96 hours of heart activity, and offers one-hour STAT reports and guaranteed 24-hour report turnaround.
  • CardioPAL SAVI TTM Event Monitor: Stepping up from the Holter monitor, the SAVI TTM event monitor can handle recording sessions up to 30 days at a time. In addition to this, the device also has auto-capture and patient controlled activation for patients who are aware of when a cardiac event occurs.
  • SAVI Air Wireless Event Monitor: Adding to the list of features in its predecessors, SAVI Air takes data transfer to the next level with wireless transmission of data without a landline. It also has a built in spoken and manual patient diary for convenient activity documentation during a procedure.
